CHAPTER X Official controls and other official activities, administrative assistance, cooperation and enforcement by Member States
Article 50Coordinated assistance and follow-up by the Commission
1.
The Commission shall, without delay, coordinate the measures and actions undertaken by the competent authorities in accordance with this Chapter where:
(a)
information available to the Commission indicates the existence of activities that are, or appear to be, non-compliant with the rules provided for in this Regulation and that concern more than one Member State;
(b)
the competent authorities in the Member States concerned are unable to agree on appropriate actions to address the non-compliance with the rules provided for in this Regulation.

In the cases referred to in paragraph 1, the Commission may:
(a)
request that the competent authorities of the Member States concerned by the activities that are, or appear to be, non-compliant with the rules provided for in this Regulation, provide it with a report on the measures that they have taken;
(b)
in collaboration with the Member States concerned by the activities that are, or appear to be, non-compliant with the rules provided for in this Regulation, send an inspection team to perform an on-the-spot Commission control;
(c)
request that the competent authorities of the Member State of dispatch and, where appropriate, in other Member States concerned, appropriately intensify their official controls and provide it with a report on the measures that they have taken;
(d)
submit information concerning such cases to the Committee referred to in Article 62(1), together with a proposal for measures to remedy the cases of non-compliance referred to in point (a) of paragraph 1 of this Article;
(e)
take any other appropriate measures.
