This Regulation shall apply to vehicles of categories M1, M2, M3, N1, N2 and N3, as defined in [F1Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858], and to replacement silencing systems and components thereof type-approved as separate technical units designed and constructed for vehicles of categories M1 and N1.
