This Regulation shall apply to vehicles of categories M₁, M₂, M₃, N₁, N₂ and N₃, as defined in F1Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858, and to replacement silencing systems and components thereof type-approved as separate technical units designed and constructed for vehicles of categories M₁ and N₁.
