                  <ref eId="c00001" href="https://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/eu-exit/https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=uriserv:OJ.L_.2014.150.01.0112.01.ENG">OJ L 150, 20.5.2014, p. 112</ref>.</p></authorialNote>, and in particular Article 53(5) thereof,</p><p>Whereas:</p><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(1)</num><p>Regulation (EU) No 514/2014 lays down general provisions for the implementation of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and the instrument for financial support for police cooperation, preventing and combating crime, and crisis management.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(2)</num><p>It is necessary to ensure that the financial support of the Union is visibly acknowledged so that the role played by the Union in funding programmes may become more widely known. Information and publicity measures should thus contain specific information indicating the involvement of the Union, including the emblem of the Union. For the sake of consistency, the emblem of the Union should appear in a standard format.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(3)</num><p>The United Kingdom and Ireland are bound by Regulation (EU) No 514/2014 and are as a consequence bound by this Regulation.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(4)</num><p>Denmark is not bound by Regulation (EU) No 514/2014 nor by this Regulation.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(5)</num><p>In order to allow for the prompt application of the measures provided for in this Regulation and not delay the approval of the national programmes, the Regulation should enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the <i>Official Journal of the European Union</i>.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer class="division" uk:name="division"><num>(6)</num><p>The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Asylum, Migration and Internal Security Funds Committee,</p></blockContainer><p>HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:</p></preamble><body eId="body"><article eId="article-1"><num>Article 1</num><heading>Technical characteristics of information and publicity for the project</heading><content><p>All information and publicity measures aimed at beneficiaries, potential beneficiaries and the general public shall include:</p><blockList class="ordered alpha parens" ukl:Name="OrderedList" ukl:Type="alpha" ukl:Decoration="parens"><item><num>(a)</num><p>the emblem of the European Union, in accordance with the graphic standards set out in the Annex, and a reference to the European Union;</p></item><item><num>(b)</num><p>a reference to the Fund supporting the project as indicated in the Annex;</p></item><item><num>(c)</num><p>a statement chosen by the responsible authority, highlighting the added value of the contribution from the European Union.</p></item></blockList><p>For small promotional items points (a) and (c) shall not apply.</p></content></article><article eId="article-2"><num>Article 2</num><content><p>This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the <i>Official Journal of the European Union</i>.</p></content></article><hcontainer name="signatures"><intro><p>This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.</p></intro><hcontainer name="signatureBlock"><content><p>Done at Brussels, 30 July 2014.</p><p>

Twelve gold stars situated at equal intervals form an invisible circle whose centre is the point of intersection of the diagonals of the rectangle. The radius of the circle is equal to one third of the height of the hoist. Each of the stars has five points which are situated on the circumference of an invisible circle whose radius is equal to one eighteenth of the height of the hoist. All the stars are upright, i.e. with one point vertical and two points in a straight line at right angles to the mast. The circle is arranged so that the stars appear in the position of the hours on the face of a clock.
