CHAPTER IIMission, objectives and priorities

Article 4Objectives

Within the overall framework of F1agricultural support, support for rural development, including for activities in the food and non-food sector and in forestry, shall contribute to achieving the following objectives:

  1. (a)

    fostering the competitiveness of agriculture;

  2. (b)

    ensuring the sustainable management of natural resources, and climate action;

  3. (c)

    achieving a balanced territorial development of rural economies and communities including the creation and maintenance of employment.

F2Article 4Objectives

Support for rural development, must contribute to achieving the following objectives:

(a)

fostering the competitiveness of agriculture;

(b)

contributing towards the sustainable management of natural resources as set out in Part 1 of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016;

(c)

ensuring climate resilience;

(d)

achieving a balanced territorial development of rural economies and communities including the creation and maintenance of employment.
