fixing allocation coefficient, rejecting further applications and closing the period for submitting applications for available additional quantities of out-of-quota sugar to be sold on the Union market at reduced surplus levy during marketing year 2011/2012
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Whereas:
The quantities covered by certificate applications for out-of-quota sugar submitted from 1 May 2012 to 2 May 2012 and notified to the Commission on 4 May 2012 exceed the limit set in Article 1 of Implementing Regulation (EU) No 367/2012.
Therefore, in accordance with Article 5 of Implementing Regulation (EU) No 367/2012 it is necessary to fix an allocation coefficient, which the Member States shall apply to the quantities covered by each notified certificate application, reject the applications which have not yet been notified and close the period for submitting the applications.
In order to ensure the efficient management of the measure, this Regulation should enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union,
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
