The microchip and the data contained in the microchip, including any optional or additional information, shall comply with the provisions of Annex I to this Regulation.

The microchip shall store the harmonised driving licence data referred to in Annex I, Paragraph I.2.1.

Member States shall consult the Commission before storing on the microchip of a driving licence any of the additional data referred to in Annex I, Paragraph I.2.2.
