CHAPTER IIIOBLIGATIONS OF ECONOMIC OPERATORS
Article 12Authorised representatives
1.
A manufacturer may appoint, by written mandate, an authorised representative.
The drawing up of technical documentation shall not form part of the authorised representative’s mandate F1established in the United Kingdom.

An authorised representative shall perform the tasks specified in the mandate. The mandate shall allow the authorised representative to carry out at least the following tasks:
(a)
keep the declaration of performance and the technical documentation at the disposal of F2market surveillance authorities for the period referred to in Article 11(2);
(b)
further to a reasoned request from a competent F3... authority, provide that authority with all the information and documentation necessary to demonstrate the conformity of the construction product with the declaration of performance and compliance with other applicable requirements in this Regulation;
(c)
cooperate with F4a competent authority, at its request, on any action taken to eliminate the risks posed by construction products covered by the mandate of the authorised representative.
