Article 20

The driver shall keep any F2documentation provided by an enforcement officer or a court concerning penalties imposed or the initiation of proceedings until such time as the same infringement of this Regulation can no longer lead to a second proceeding or penalty F3by virtue of this Regulation read with Part 6 of the Transport Act 1968 or Part 6 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.

The driver shall produce the evidence referred to in paragraph 1 upon request.

A driver who is employed or at the disposal of more than one transport undertaking shall provide sufficient information to each undertaking to enable it to comply with Chapter II.

In this Article “enforcement officer” means—
(a)
an examiner appointed under section 66A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 or Article 74 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995,
(b)
a person authorised for the purposes of Part 6 of the Transport Act 1968 by a traffic commissioner, or
(c)
a police constable.
