F1The appropriate Minister shall establish a system for the identification and registration of ovine and caprine animals in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation.

This Regulation shall apply without prejudice to F2rules set out in F3assimilated direct legislation which may be established for disease eradication or control purposes, and without prejudice to Directive 91/496/EEC and Regulation (EC) No 1782/2003.
