Article 1U.K.
1.[F1The appropriate Minister] shall establish a system for the identification and registration of ovine and caprine animals in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation.
2.This Regulation shall apply without prejudice to [F2rules set out in [F3assimilated direct] legislation] which may be established for disease eradication or control purposes, and without prejudice to Directive 91/496/EEC and Regulation (EC) No 1782/2003.
