Sampling and laboratory testing for the presence of a TSE shall be carried out using the methods and protocols laid down in Annex X, Chapter C.

Where necessary, to ensure the uniform application of this Article, the appropriate authority may by regulations introduce rules relating to the implementation of this Article, including the method to determine the presence of BSE in ovine and caprine animals.
