ANNEX VIII U.K.

CONFORMITY BASED ON UNIT VERIFICATION FOR LIFTS (module G) U.K.

2. Obligations of the installer U.K.

2.1. The installer shall take all measures necessary so that the manufacturing process and its monitoring ensure conformity of the lift with the applicable essential health and safety requirements set out in Annex I. U.K.

2.2. The installer shall apply to a single notified body of his choice for unit verification. U.K.

The application shall contain:

(a)

the name and address of the installer, and if the application is lodged by the authorised representative, his name and address as well;

(b)

the location where the lift is installed;

(c)

a written declaration to the effect that a similar application has not been lodged with another notified body;

(d)

the technical documentation.
