Article 27

1.

Specific conditions may be established in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 25(2) to take account of developments in the areas of:

(a)

conditions under which chemically treated seed may be marketed;

(b)

conditions under which seed may be marketed in relation to the conservation in situ and the sustainable use of plant genetic resources, which are associated with specific natural and semi-natural habitats and are threatened by genetic erosion;

(c)

conditions under which seed suitable for organic production may be marketed.

2.

The specific conditions referred to in paragraph 1(b) shall include in particular the following points:

(a)

the seed of these species shall be of a known provenance approved by the appropriate authority in each Member State for marketing the seed in defined areas;

(b)

appropriate quantitative restrictions.
