<num>TITLE V</num><heading>SPECIFIC PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO THE BUDGETS ASSOCIATED WITH AD HOC ACTIVITIES</heading><article eId="article-47" uk:target="true"><num>Article 47</num><heading>Management by the Agency of budgets associated with ad hoc activities</heading><paragraph eId="article-47-1"><num>1.</num><content>The Steering Board, following a proposal from the Chief Executive or a Member State, may decide that the Agency may be entrusted by Member States with the administrative and financial management of certain activities within its remit in accordance with Chapter IV of Decision (CFSP) 2015/1835.</content></paragraph><paragraph eId="article-47-2"><num>2.</num><content>The Steering Board, in the context of Agency ad hoc projects and programmes, may authorise the Agency, under the conditions set out in the arrangements governing the activities in question, to enter into contracts and grant agreements, and collect the necessary contributions from those Member States in advance, taking into consideration budgetary constraints of the Member States, to honour such contracts and grant agreements.</content></paragraph><paragraph eId="article-47-3"><num>3.</num><content>The provisions of Chapters 2 to 7 of Title III of this Decision shall apply to the ad hoc activities established in accordance with Articles 19 or 20 of Decision (CFSP) 2015/1835, unless the basic act(s) of the programme or the project provide for different rules, which in any case shall comply with the budgetary principles established in Title II of this Decision.</content></paragraph><paragraph eId="article-47-4"><num>4.</num><content>Any budgetary surplus arising from any ad hoc project or programme shall be considered as a credit available for the participating Member States and any other entity having contributed to it and returned to them at the end of the implementation period or used for the other specific purposes as established in the relevant agreement(s) or decided by the concerned Member State or entity.</content></paragraph></article>
