amending Decision 2010/656/CFSP renewing the restrictive measures against Côte d'Ivoire

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 29 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) On 29 October 2010, the Council adopted Decision 2010/656/CFSP(1).

(2) A derogation from the prohibition on the sale, supply, transfer or export of equipment which might be used for internal repression should be introduced in order to enable the sale, supply, transfer or export of certain items solely for civilian use in mining or infrastructure projects.

(3) Further action by the Union is necessary in order to implement that measure,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
