Council Decision 2014/475/CFSP

amending Decision 2014/145/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 29 thereof,

Whereas:

On 17 March 2014, the Council adopted Decision 2014/145/CFSP1.

In view of the gravity of the situation in Ukraine, the conditions for freezing of funds and economic resources should be expanded to target legal persons, entities or bodies materially or financially supporting actions which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Further action by the Union is needed in order to implement these measures.

(4)

Decision 2014/145/CFSP should be amended accordingly,
