establishing a common format for the submission of data and information pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning persistent organic pollutants

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,

Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 on persistent organic pollutants and amending Directive 79/117/EEC1, and in particular Article 12(4) thereof,

Whereas:

Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 requires Member States to provide various data and information to the Commission on a regular basis.

(2)

A common format should be established for the submission of that data and information.

(3)

The measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Committee established by Article 29 of Council Directive 67/548/EEC2,
