This Decision establishes the Specific Programme ‘Civil Justice’, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Programme’, as part of the General Programme ‘Fundamental Rights and Justice’, in order to contribute to the progressive establishment of the area of freedom, security and justice.

The Programme shall cover the period from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2013.

In this Decision, the term ‘Member State’ shall mean Member States with the exception of Denmark.
