This Order brings into force further provisions of the Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Act 2003 (“the Act”) on 14th December 2007, which provide as follows:–
Section 12 concerns the submission of a river basin management plan by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency to the Scottish Ministers;
Section 13 concerns the approval process in relation to the river basin management plan;
Section 14 concerns the review of river basin management plans;
Section 16 concerns the duty of the Scottish Ministers and public bodies to have regard to river basin management plans and sub-basin plans; and
Section 19 contains general regulation making powers of the Scottish Ministers in relation to river basin management plans.
The Act received Royal Assent on 5th March 2003.
