The Whole of Government Accounts (Designation of Bodies) Order 2014

The Treasury make this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000(1).

In accordance with section 10(7) of that Act the Treasury have consulted the Welsh Ministers where they have thought it appropriate.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Whole of Government Accounts (Designation of Bodies) Order 2014 and shall come into force on 22nd September 2014.

Designation

2.  The bodies listed in the Schedule to this Order are designated in respect of the financial year ending on 31st March 2014 for the purposes of section 10 of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates the bodies listed in the Schedule in relation to the financial year ending on 31st March 2014 for the purposes of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000. The effect of designation is that these bodies are required to prepare and present to the Treasury such financial information in relation to that financial year as the Treasury require to enable them to prepare Whole of Government Accounts.

An impact assessment has not been prepared for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen. An Explanatory Memorandum is available alongside the instrument on www.legislation.gov.uk.
