PART 1 Provisions consequential upon transfer of functions from rent assessment committees for areas in England

Rent Act 1977

31.  In section 107 (interpretation of Part VI) insert the following definition in the appropriate alphabetical order—

““appropriate tribunal” means—

(a)

in relation to a dwelling in England, the First-tier Tribunal or, where determined by or under Tribunal Procedure Rules, the Upper Tribunal; and

(b)

in relation to a dwelling in Wales, a rent assessment committee;”.
