The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006(1).
Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (Commencement No. 7) (Amendment) Order 2007.
Amendment of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2007
2. In article 3 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2007(2) (commencement of provisions on 31st December 2007) for “31st December 2007” substitute “1st March 2008”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (Commencement No. 7) Order 2007. In consequence, sections 34, 35 and 39 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 will be brought into force, and sections 31, 32, 36, 37 and 38 of that Act will be brought into force to the extent to which they are not already in force, on 1st March 2008 rather than on 31st December 2007.
