1 E+W References in any enactment to the proprietor or governing body of a school shall be read, in relation to a pupil referral unit, as references to the [F1 local authority] .

2 E+W References in any enactment to the head teacher of a school shall be read, in relation to a pupil referral unit, as references to the teacher in charge of the unit (whether known as the head teacher or not).
