In section 27 (provisions as to right to sublet), for subsection (2) substitute—

“(2)

A crofter may not sublet their croft unless—

(a)

the croft is a registered croft, and

(b)

the crofter has obtained the consent of the Commission.

(2A)

A sublease of a croft granted by a crofter in contravention of subsection (2) is null and void.

(2B)

But nothing in subsections (2) and (2A) precludes a crofter from subletting any dwelling-house or other building forming part of their croft to holiday visitors.”.
