Provision of accommodation
20Duty to provide accommodation for children in need
(1)
The Children (Scotland) Act 1995 is amended as follows.
(2)
In section 25 (provision of accommodation for children, etc.), in subsection (1), after paragraph (c) insert—
“(d)
he is at least sixteen years of age and—
(i)
is homeless, in accordance with section 24 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987, or
(ii)
the accommodation in which he is residing is not suitable for his welfare needs.”.
