15Promotion of family group decision-making services

“69BDuty to promote family group decision-making services
A local authority must—
(a)
publish information about the provision of family group decision-making services in its area,
(b)
where such services are provided to persons in its area by virtue of section 68(1), take reasonable steps to promote awareness of those services among persons to whom they are likely to be provided,
(c)
publish information about how a request under section 69A may be made and take reasonable steps to promote awareness of the ability to make such a request among those likely to have a right to do so.”.

“ In this Part—
(a)
“family group decision-making service” has the meaning given in section 69A(4) and “family group decision-making” is to be construed accordingly,
(b)
the following expressions have the same meaning as they have in Part 1 of the 1995 Act—”.

The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 (Relevant Services in relation to Children at Risk of Becoming Looked After etc.) Order 2016 (S.S.I. 2016/44) is amended by subsections (5) and (6).

In article 2, in paragraph (2)(a), for the words from “means” to “the child” substitute “has the same meaning as in Part 12 of the Act;”
