<Text>The Scottish Ministers are to make publicly available a model lease designed for letting land so that it can be used (wholly or partly) for an environmental purpose.</Text>

<Pnumber>2</Pnumber>

<Text>The Scottish Ministers must fulfil their duty under <InternalLink Ref="section-11" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2025/15/section/11" DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2025/15/section/11">this section</InternalLink> before the end of the period of 2 years beginning with the day that the Bill for this Act receives Royal Assent.</Text>

<P2 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2025/15/section/11/3" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2025/15/section/11/3" id="section-11-3">
<Pnumber>3</Pnumber>

<Text>The Scottish Ministers may by regulations modify <InternalLink Ref="section-11-2" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2025/15/section/11/2" DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2025/15/section/11/2">subsection (2)</InternalLink> to change the date by which their duty under <InternalLink Ref="section-11" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2025/15/section/11" DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2025/15/section/11">this section</InternalLink> is to be fulfilled.</Text>

<Text>For the purpose of <InternalLink Ref="section-11" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2025/15/section/11" DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2025/15/section/11">this section</InternalLink>, land is used for an environmental purpose if it is used—</Text>

<Text>in a way that contributes towards achieving the net-zero emissions target set by section A1 of the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009,</Text>
