This section requires the Scottish Ministers to carry out a review of the operation and effectiveness of Part 1 of the 2025 Act and prepare a report on that review. The review must be carried out as soon as practicable after the end of a period of 5 years beginning with the day of Royal Assent. In carrying out the review, the Scottish Ministers must consult local authorities and persons who appear to the Scottish Ministers to represent the interests of tenants and landlords. As soon as reasonably practicable after preparing a report on the review, the Scottish Ministers must publish the report and lay it before the Scottish Parliament.
