30Duty to consult and plan on delivery of early learning and childcare

The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 is modified as follows.

In section 50 (duty to consult and plan on delivery of early learning and childcare)—

(a)

in subsection (1)(a), after “Part” insert “, including whether and if so how it should make Gaelic medium early learning and childcare available”,

(b)

after subsection (2) insert—

In this section—

“Gaelic language” means Gaelic language as used in Scotland,

“Gaelic medium early learning and childcare” means early learning and childcare delivered by means of the Gaelic language.”.
