27Assessments: power to make different provision for different areas

The Education (Scotland) Act 2016 is modified as follows.

In section 9 (initial assessments)—
(a)
in subsection (7)(b), for “education authorities” substitute “areas of education authorities, or such parts of those areas,”

after subsection (7) insert—
“(7A)
Where the number specified in subsection (6) is to be read as a different number for different parts of a GMPE assessment area by virtue of regulations made under subsection (7)(b), the lowest number is to be read as applying to the whole of the GMPE assessment area.”.
