2 Power to increase amount of carer’s allowance supplement S

The Social Security (Scotland) Act 2018 is amended as follows—

(a) in section 81, after subsection (4B) insert—

“(4C) The Scottish Ministers may by regulations modify this section so as to provide that the amount of a carer’s allowance supplement in respect of such period as may be specified in the regulations is an amount greater than the amount calculated according to the formula in subsection (4).”,

(b) in section 96 (regulation-making powers), in subsection (2), for “81(8)” substitute “81(4C) and (8)”.
