PART 3 S Stop notices

Failure to comply with stop notice S

17 (1) A person served with a stop notice who does not comply with it commits an offence. S

(2) A person who commits an offence under sub-paragraph (1) is liable—

(a) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum (or both),

(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to a fine (or both).
