I127Disclosure period: juvenile offenders

The 1974 Act is amended as follows.

After section 5G (inserted by section 26) there is inserted—
5HDisclosure period: orders relating to juvenile offenders

Where, in respect of a conviction, an order mentioned in subsection (2) was imposed on a person, the disclosure period applicable to the sentence is 1 year from the date of the conviction.

The order is an order under section 61 of the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act 1937—
a
to send the person to an approved school, or
b
to commit the person to the care of a fit person.
