The manager of a Scottish Crown Estate asset may not grant a lease or other right in or over the asset for a period of more than 150 years, and any such lease or other right granted by the manager is void.

Subsection (1) does not apply where the manager grants the lease or other right for the purpose of complying with an obligation enforceable against the Crown or against the manager.
