Housing (Amendment) (Scotland) Act 2018

Sections 11 – Commencement

128.Section 11 provides for commencement of the Act. Other than section 11 itself, and section 12 (which sets out the short title of the Act), which both come into force on the day after Royal Assent, the Act will be brought into force by commencement regulations. Such commencement regulations are made by the Scottish Ministers and then laid before the Scottish Parliament, not being subject to either the negative or the affirmative procedure.(54)
