14Meaning of “member” and “registered political party” and interpretation of “accepted”
In section 19 (interpretation)—
(a)
in subsection (1)—
(i)
in the definition of “member”, after “ “member”” there is inserted “
(except in references to a member of a registered political party)
”
, and
(ii)
after the definition of “the register” there is inserted—
““registered political party” means a political party registered under Part II of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (c.41);”,
(b)
there is added—
“(4)
For the purposes of the schedule, a member is to be taken as accepting a controlled transaction when it is entered into (even although, in the case of an arrangement of the kind mentioned in paragraph 6A(6) of the schedule, the member is not a party to the arrangement).”.
