Transitional provision

41.Section 18 provides that notices of alteration in the register of local government electors which would otherwise be issued under section 13A of the 1983 Act need not be issued in respect of persons who will not be aged 18 before 1 December 2015. The effect is that the first young voter registrations will appear in the register published on 1 December 2015 and thereafter they will appear in notices of alterations in the way provided for by section 13A of the 1983 Act.
