The Act

3.The Act covers a range of issues associated with lowering the voting age at Scottish elections, set out under the following headings:

  • reduction of voting age (section 1);

  • registration of electors (sections 2 to 12);

  • protection of information (sections 13 to 15);

  • proxies (section 16);

  • awareness and assistance (section 17);

  • transitional provision (section 18); and

  • general (sections 19 to 22).
