Referendum expenses

The following provisions have effect for the purposes of this schedule.

“Referendum expenses” means expenses incurred by or on behalf of any individual or body which are—
a
expenses falling within paragraph 11, and
b
incurred for referendum purposes.

Expenses are incurred for referendum purposes if they are incurred—
a
in connection with the conduct or management of a referendum campaign, or
b
otherwise in connection with promoting or procuring any particular outcome in the referendum.
