ukl:CommentaryRef="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06">lay the plan before the Scottish Parliament, and</ins></p></content></level><level class="para1" eId="section-7A-5-c"><num><ins ukl:ChangeId="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06-1778865186577" ukl:CommentaryRef="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06">(c)</ins></num><content><p><ins ukl:ChangeId="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06-1778865186577" ukl:CommentaryRef="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06">if the Board do not follow any of the Parliamentary corporation’s recommendations for modifications to the plan under this section, lay before the Scottish Parliament a document describing its reasons for so doing.</ins></p></content></level></subsection><subsection eId="section-7A-6"><num><ins ukl:ChangeId="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06-1778865186577" ukl:CommentaryRef="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06">(6)</ins></num><content><p><ins ukl:ChangeId="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06-1778865186577" ukl:CommentaryRef="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06">The Board may, at any time during the 5 year period to which a plan relates, review the strategic plan for that period and submit a revised plan to the Parliamentary corporation setting out the matters mentioned in subsection (1).</ins></p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-7A-7"><num><ins ukl:ChangeId="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06-1778865186577" ukl:CommentaryRef="key-41da2efe6f65ac7b4789ba7e00893d06">(7)</ins></num><content><p><ins determining such applications;</p></content></level><level class="para1"><num>(c)</num><content><p>give guidance to relevant officers (within the meaning of section 6E) as to the exercise of the power conferred by subsection (1) of that section;</p></content></level><level class="para1"><num>(d)</num><content><p>give guidance to such officers as to the exercise of the power mentioned in subsection (2) of that section as it relates to a person having the permission mentioned in subsection (1) of that section;</p></content></level><level class="para1"><num>(e)</num><content><p>give guidance to such officers as to the exercise of any power under any enactment to control the number of persons present at any proceedings relating to an election as it relates to a person having such permission;</p></content></level><level class="para1"><num>(f)</num><content><p>give guidance to representatives of the Commission, accredited observers and nominated members of accredited organisations on the exercise of the rights conferred by sections 6A, 6B, 6C and 6D.</p></content></level></subsection><subsection><num>(3)</num><content><p>The code may make different provision for different purposes.</p></content></subsection><subsection><num>(4)</num><content><p>Before preparing the code, the Commission must consult the Scottish Ministers.</p></content></subsection><subsection><num>(5)</num><content><p>The Commission must lay the code before the Scottish Parliament.</p></content></subsection><subsection><num>(6)</num><content><p>The Commission must publish the code (in such matter as they may determine).</p></content></subsection><subsection><num>(7)</num><intro><p>The following persons must have regard to the code in exercising any function conferred by section 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D or 6E—</p></intro><level class="para1"><num>(a)</num><content><p>the Commission;</p></content></level><level class="para1"><num>(b)</num><content><p>representatives of the Commission;</p></content></level><level class="para1"><num>(c)</num><content><p>relevant officers (within the meaning of section government election in Scotland” are repealed.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-14-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>Subsections (8) to (10) are repealed.</p></content></subsection></section><section eId="section-15"><num>15</num><heading>Education about electoral systems</heading><subsection eId="section-15-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>Section 13 of the 2000 Act (promotion of public awareness of electoral and government systems) is amended as follows.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-15-2"><num>(2)</num><content><p>Subsections (3) and (7) are repealed.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-15-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p><mod>In subsection (8), for  “by provision</heading><subsection eId="section-20-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>The Scottish Ministers may by order made by statutory instrument make such incidental, consequential, transitional, transitory, or saving provision (including by modifying an enactment) as they consider necessary or expedient for the purposes of or in connection with this Act.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-20-2"><num>(2)</num><content><p>Subject to subsection (3), a statutory instrument containing an order under this section is subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of the Scottish Parliament.</p></content></subsection><subsection eId="section-20-3"><num>(3)</num><content><p>A statutory instrument containing an order under this section which adds to, replaces or omits any part of the text of an Act is not to be made unless a draft of the instrument has been laid before, and approved by resolution of, the Scottish Parliament.</p></content></subsection></section><section eId="section-21"><num>21</num><heading>Commencement</heading><subsection eId="section-21-1"><num>(1)</num><content><p>This Act (except this section and sections 20 and 22) comes into force on such day as the Scottish Ministers may by order made by statutory instrument appoint.</p></content></subsection><subsection
