Reckonable service as an MSP

A period for which an MSP member makes scheme member contributions from salary payments in respect of MSP salary is a period of reckonable service as an MSP.

An individual's “reckonable service as an MSP” means the total of—

a

the period described in rule 33(1) or (if more than one) the total of such periods, and

b

any amount by which that period is increased under Part N (transfers) or Part O (added years).
