1 The Register S

(1) There is to be a Scottish Register of Tartans (in this Act referred to as “the Register”).

(2) The purposes of the Register are—

(a) to be a repository for the preservation of tartans, and

(b) to be a source of information about tartans.

(3) The Register is to be kept in electronic form.
