69 Training and appraisal of JPs S

(1) The [F1 Lord President of the Court of Session] may by order make provision as to—

(a) training arrangements for JPs and future JPs, and

(b) appraisal of JPs.

(3) An order under subsection (1) may, in particular, establish committees to—

(a) secure— adopt or develop suitable—

(i) training schemes or courses of instruction,

(ii) appraisal systems,

(b) (i) the provision of such schemes or courses,

(ii) the application of such systems,

(c) provide advice about training and appraisal.
