6Disqualification from membership

A person is disqualified from appointment, and from holding office, as a member of the Commission if that person is—
a
a member of the House of Commons;
b
a member of the Scottish Parliament;
c
a member of the European Parliament.

A person who has held any of the offices set out in sub-paragraph (1)(a) to (c) is also disqualified from appointment as a member of the Commission for a period of one year starting from the day on which the person last held any of those offices.
