SCHEDULE 1The Scottish Police Services Authority

Committees and sub-committees

12 (1)

The Authority may establish committees for any purpose.

(2)

Any committee so established may establish sub-committees.

(3)

Any such committee or sub-committee must be chaired by a member of the Authority.

(4)

A person who is not a member of the Authority may be appointed to any such committee or sub-committee.

(5)

Subject to sub-paragraph (6), the Authority may pay such remuneration, allowances and expenses as it may determine to a member of any such committee or sub-committee who is not—

(a)

a member of the Authority; or

(b)

a member of the Authority's staff.

(6)

Sub-paragraph (5) does not apply to a member of a committee or sub-committee who is—

(a)

a constable of, or otherwise employed by, a police force; or

(b)

a member of a local authority.
