The local authority may enter an agreement (a “path agreement”) with a person having the necessary power for the delineation and maintenance or, as the case may be, for the delineation, creation and maintenance of a path within land in respect of which access rights are exercisable.

A path agreement shall be on such terms and conditions as to payment or otherwise as may be specified in it.
