				</ukm:Metadata><Primary><Schedules RestrictExtent="S" RestrictStartDate="2011-04-01"><Schedule DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2" NumberOfProvisions="10" id="schedule-2" RestrictExtent="S" RestrictStartDate="2001-07-19"><Number>SCHEDULE 2</Number><TitleBlock><Title> THE SCOTTISH SOCIAL SERVICES COUNCIL</Title></TitleBlock><ScheduleBody><P1group ConfersPower="true" RestrictStartDate="2001-07-19"><Title><Emphasis>Regulations as to appointments, procedure <Abbreviation Expansion="et cetera" xml:lang="la">etc.</Abbreviation></Emphasis></Title><P1 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7"><Pnumber PuncAfter="">7</Pnumber><P1para><Text>The Scottish Ministers, after consulting such persons, or groups of persons, as they consider appropriate, may by regulations make provision as to—</Text><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/a" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/a" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-a"><Pnumber>a</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the appointment of the convener (including any conditions to be fulfilled for appointment);</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/b" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/b" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-b"><Pnumber>b</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the appointment of the other members (including, subject to paragraph 4 above, the number, or limits on the number, of those who may be appointed and any conditions to be fulfilled for appointment);</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/c" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/c" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-c"><Pnumber>c</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the tenure of office of the convener and other members (including the circumstances in which they shall cease to hold office or may be removed or suspended from office);</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/d" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/d" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-d"><Pnumber>d</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the appointment of, constitution of and exercise of functions by committees and sub-committees (including committees and sub-committees which consist of or include persons who are not members of the Council);</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/e" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/e" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-e"><Pnumber>e</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the procedure of the Council and of any of its committees or sub-committees (including the validation of proceedings in the event of vacancies or of defects in appointment);</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/f" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/f" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-f"><Pnumber>f</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the payment by the Council to its convener and members (and to the members of its committees and sub-committees who are not members of the Council) of such remuneration and allowances—</Text><P4 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/f/i" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/f/i" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-f-i"><Pnumber>i</Pnumber><P4para><Text>on such terms; and</Text></P4para></P4><P4 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/f/ii" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/f/ii" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-f-ii"><Pnumber>ii</Pnumber><P4para><Text>subject to such conditions,</Text></P4para></P4><Text>as the Scottish Ministers think fit;</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/g" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/g" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-g"><Pnumber>g</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the payment by the Council to, or in respect of, persons who have been its convener or members (or such members of committees and sub-committees as are mentioned in head (f) above) of such pensions, allowances and gratuities—</Text><P4 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/g/i" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/g/i" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-g-i"><Pnumber>i</Pnumber><P4para><Text>on such terms; and</Text></P4para></P4><P4 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/g/ii" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/g/ii" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-g-ii"><Pnumber>ii</Pnumber><P4para><Text>subject to such conditions,</Text></P4para></P4><Text>as the Scottish Ministers think fit;</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/h" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/h" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-h"><Pnumber>h</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the payment by the Council of compensation to any person who, other than on the expiry of a term of office, ceases to be its convener or to be a member of it; and</Text></P3para></P3><P3 DocumentURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/i" IdURI="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/asp/2001/8/schedule/2/paragraph/7/i" id="schedule-2-paragraph-7-i"><Pnumber>i</Pnumber><P3para><Text>the delegation by the Council of any of its functions to any of its committees, sub-committees, members or employees.</Text></P3para></P3></P1para></P1></P1group></ScheduleBody></Schedule></Schedules></Primary></Legislation>
