Requirements for applications to planning authorities

55Application for planning permission to be made to planning authority

(1)

An application for planning permission for the development of land must be made to the planning authority in whose area the land is situated.

(2)

But this is subject to—

(a)

section 78 (option to make application to the Welsh Ministers) and section 80 (connected applications);

(b)

regulations under section 84 (applications by the Crown);

(c)

section 85 (urgent Crown development);

(d)

regulations under section 86 (combination of applications for planning permission with other applications);

(e)

regulations under section 405 (development by, and land of, planning authorities and the Welsh Ministers).
