The Welsh Ministers may by order authorise the stopping up or diversion of any highway if they are satisfied that it is necessary to do so to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission that has been granted under this Act.

An order under this section may authorise the stopping up or diversion of a highway that is temporarily stopped up or diverted under any other enactment.

Part 1 of Schedule 17 makes provision about the procedure to be followed in connection with making orders under this section (including provision for the publication of notice of a proposed order and for the consideration of objections).
